The cat's out of the bag...well, at least I can talk to people about it now.
It's really a bunch of BS. And petty. And a real lack of communication. But I can only observe, and offer advice, if asked of me.
Missed the movie. Oops. What can I say? I was still doing some work.
Man, the A's need some offense. I realize a win is a win, but Huddy pitched great, and he deserves more run support. A bat that can hit .300 on a consistent basis would do.
You'll have to excuse me. I can't make up my mind about which template I want. So....bear with me through this tumultuous period.

Some like it hot. And today would be their day. The temperature read 99 degrees in Willieboy's car.
Crossroads.
So, the All Star game ended in a tie. Big effin' deal. It's an exhibition game, folks. A dog and pony show for baseball. Don't get your panties all in a bunch about it. Christ Jesus, any other year, no one gives a rat's ass about the game, yet people are whining left and right "Let them play." oh, yah, just blow out Freddy Garcia's arm in a meaningless game. I bet Lou Pinella and all those Mariner fans would've been really pleased. Although, I would've loved seeing them have like a home run derby or something like that to decide the winner... now, that would have been cool.
Last night, I made a very circuitous route of the Bay Area...putting even more mileage on my car (and I need to get my 30K mile service too) Went from Fremont to HMB to San Bruno to San Francisco and back to Fremont. Had to do some errands back in the 'Mo and then went to San Bruno to pay some debts, and then, of course Cal Trans and the Big Guy asked me hang out in the city. I couldn't pass it up. It was too nice of an evening. And it's not often that you can wear a t-shirt and shorts in downtown San Francisco and not freeze your ass off. It was downright balmy. And big ups to the Big Guy, yet another chill spot in the city to hang out and enjoy a beautiful view. Man, there is nothing like the San Francisco skyline on a warm, fog free night. The kind you want to enjoy with someone special...*ahem* anyway, yah...If you ever want to tour the city, ask the Big Guy, he knows what's up.
Once again, she looked gorgeous...Damn, I'm going to miss her.

Damn, it's hot. We are definitely in the throes of summer.
It's the MLB All-Star game tonight. Two A's -Miguel Tejada and Barry Zito will be participating. Don't know who they are? Well, Tejada is one of the best shortstops in baseball, right up there with A-Rod, Jeter and No-mah, while Zito is one of the best young pitchers in the game. Part of the group of young, home grown talent that the A's have cultivated the last few years. Bar none, the A's have the best General Manager (Billy Beane) and best farm system in baseball. You can take that to the bank.
Sometimes...the sound of goodbye is louder than any drumbeat.
We'll know in a few weeks.

Welcome. This is the first entry. Thanks to Lunatik for getting me into this, but hey, there's a first time for everything, no?
I have a new found respect for baseball pitchers. This past holiday weekend, I was playing softball, well...just throwing some batting practice, anyway, and had one of them hit RIGHT BACK AT ME. You don't know how hard it is to be a pitcher until you stand there on the mound and try it for yourself. Now, imagine a Major League pitcher having to stand there watching his 90 mph pitch hit straight back at him faster than he threw it. Not only do you have to have a strong arm, but you have to have cat-like reflexes as well, and it doesn't matter if your opponent is 6'2" with bulging biceps, or 5' 1", with a nice butt and curvy legs and...sorry, I digress.
