It's been a really busy day. Busy in that I've been prepping for the Vegas trip. Packing, haircut, withdrawing the cash. Barely enough time for...work. HAH! Work? Riiiight. Anyway, flying out tonight for sin city. It's expected to be over 100 degrees the entire weekend. Hot? Sizzling.
Details when I return. (PG, R or NC-17? Guess it depends on how bad it gets! HG.) Have a good weekend, everybody.

Remember when I posted change is inevitable? Little did I realize how much those words would come into play recently. A friend of mine told me she's got a little one roasting in the oven. It was a surprise to her too! Her and her man are going to get married soon, as well, just to make it all kosher. Talk about coming out of left field. But I'm happy for her. She's been through quite alot lately, so I take this as a little gift from God to her.
As for me? Well, I'll let you know in a week. Things are happening too fast, and I can't keep up. Maybe I'll have some news then. As soon as I think things are going in a certain direction, something changes and puts me on another course.
I realize that in my posts, I come off as somewhat cryptic. I apologize.Things will be explained in due time. Patience.
Baseball Rant #1003: GODDAMN A's got DRILLED tonight. By Anaheim no less. Billy, get us some help NOW!

I was dead tired today. My allergies were killing me. Probably because I had to wake up early to bring the car in for service. The rear brakes need to be replaced, as well as the wheels re-aligned and balanced. Time to bust the bank to keep her running well.
Christ. Her leaving is hitting me harder than I thought. I'm even letting sad love songs get to me.
Now you're gone, I'm really not the same. I guess I have myself to blame
You know I can't hold you back now.
What I really need is a good ass-kicking.
BTW, did any of ya'll see Allen Iverson's mom on Sportscenter tonight? She was talking to that one reporter in just ghetto fab style. That "Oh, no you did not just ask me that question!" She was hella yellin at that one reporter "Did Tawana tell you that?" Did Tawana tell you that?" LMFAO!

So I dropped off the parentals, my youngest brother, and a cousin at the airport yesterday (they're off to Mazatlan)..at 7 AM on a Sunday morning. At 7 AM on a Sunday morning, the freeways are actually...free (of traffic), and there's literally no one at the airport. I mean...NO ONE, except for one or two airport police. It's like something out of a movie.
Ran 5 miles along the coast yesterday. I forgot how refreshing it can be. Running has always been a way to clear my mind, to think things out, to plan. To me, it's therapeutic. Like ironing (don't ask). Yesterday, I thought about several choices I will have to make down the road, and where they could lead me. I thought about the gains and the consequences to each, and perhaps, what sacrifices I'd have to make. I turn 30 in September. 30....I really don't think things will change to much. It's just the age. I'm not really feeling it yet. I feel old already, but 30? Ask me in September.
Oh, and one more thing. CORY LIDLE SUCKS ASS. I hope the A's waive him, send him to Triple A, trade him for a couple of cases of heineken, I don't care, just do NOT let him pitch ANOTHER game for the A's.

Saw the movie "To Catch A Thief" with Cary Grant and Grace Kelly at the Stanford Theater tonight. A classic Hitchcock film that I hadn't seen since watching it in a college film class. If you're in the Bay Area, I highly recomend you go see it, as it it will be playing through Thursday. It's refreshing to watch one of these "older" films. The writing is superb, the acting top-notch. It makes you wonder what's happened with movie making today, with all the crap they keep regurgitating out there. Cary Grant is fabulous, and Grace Kelly has that movie star beauty. It harkens back to a golden era in cinematic entertainment.
