It's already the first day of August. Where did the year go? It just flew by like nothing. And just a month and two weeks until the big three-zero. I should start thinking of my "greatest hits (and misses)" list of the last 30 years. If you have one of me, and I'm sure many of you do, send 'em my way. I'll compile something for September.

Opening up in Daly City soon is this gem of an eatery. "I'm the King of the World! Bring me all your finest meats and cheeses (fish)." Time to feast! Anyone game?

Accomplishment for the day: Getting my inbox below 1000 messages. I stand at 990 and falling. I can't even remember when it was that low. I get like a ton of e-mail a day, and have been trying to pare it down as much as possible. Yes, I live a very exciting life.

What is it with the women I know leaving? Already, four are in the process of packing up and moving back to the LA area. The ratio of single men to women up here is terrible as it is, losing four that's like a catastrophe. Don't ya think?

This is how distracted I've been lately. I told Joey I wouldn't be able to make the Arena football game because I had a wedding to go to. Then I ask Rianne how the preparations for her party are going, when in fact the party is on the 10th, the same day as the wedding, while the football game is this weekend. So, I basically filp-flopped weekends. That figures...

Some days, it would be so easy to just give in. To let the anger out. To go deep into the other part of yourself. It's easy, it's seductive, it's tempting. And why shouldn't it be? When most days, it takes everything you have not to. It is what makes us human, does it not? Some days, maybe...but not today.

Time...it's just going to take time.
