Loss...

You just never know when. Today, I lost a cousin, my beautiful cousin Rachel Supnet Pacheco passed away this morning after a long battle with leukemia. She was only 25. She leaves behind three of the cutest kids you'll ever meet: Peter, Annalise and Lorenzo and a loving husband. I ask only that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, because this is the second young family member we've lost in the last couple of years, and it's devastating. Not only for me, but for her immediate family-brother, sister and mother. And if you have the time, give what you can, to help fight these deadly diseases so that others will not have to suffer. I ran the Honolulu marathon three years ago to help fight this disease, little did I know that it would hit so close to home.

Weekend Love

Being in the work world, you appreciate three day weekends more. This one was no exception. Played softball, did some cleaning around the place, got some sleep, went to the A's game and saw them win it in the bottom of the 10th, had an impromptu bbq at the pad where folks took advantage of the warm weather, pool and jacuzzi at the complex. ( Don't worry people, we'll have another one. I didn't find out till late Sunday that Frank was having a little soiree, so it was a little late to tell everyone)

Needless to say, it was difficult to come into work today.
