So I work out in Emeryville now. Not only is it the hub where the Bay Bridge meets the East Bay and the tangle of freeways called the MacArthur maze, but it's the home of such things as Pixar, Ofoto, the Amtrak station, IKEA, and the Bay Street shopping area.
It's funny, I know so many people here at my new company, that it's almost like an old company. My first week, I was asked to play on the company softball team, and I'm hopefully going to make it a regular thing.
If you're in the city this Friday night (April 30) stop by The Sake Lab. My friends are hosting a fund raiser for their marathon run, as they will be running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team in Training. It's what I did several years ago when I ran the Honolulu Marathon. It's for a good cause, and it seems like a cool place to hang out.
